Screen Cinema, Winchester

Hother Associates acted as Quantity Surveyors for Mainline Pictures Ltd on the restoration and fitting out works to create the "Screen" cinema at Winchester.

A listed 19th century chapel was stripped out and the fabric of the building was extensively renovated to the requirements of English Heritage and Winchester City Council, the works being partly funded by the National Lottery.

The fitting out incorporated specialist acoustic treatments to provide an internal environment suited to its dual use as a venue for live performance and a two screen cinema, together with a foyer bar.
